For U11s, during Round 1, EYBA utilizes a "mini game" format, This allows us to collect twice as much seeding data.
All U11 Teams are scheduled to play 10 "mini games", we've done our best to keep teams in the same facilities with minimal waiting time between games.
You may see some teams twice, it happens, just go out there and have FUN!
Below are the U11 Mini Game Mods:
EYBA U11s - Round 1 Modifications
Our regular 75 minute slot for mini games will contain 2 “mini” games in Round 1 of the EYBA schedule.
Teams will play twice as many “mini” games than they would regular games and afterwards EYBA will have much more data to put teams into their proper divisions for Round 2.
The 3 minute automatic substitution rule is still enforced during “mini” games.
“Mini” Game Format and Mods:
1st Half: 9 minutes (Run Time) - 3 x 3-minute shifts
Half Time: 2 minutes
2nd Half: 9 minutes (6 minutes Run Time, last 3 minutes Stop Time) 3 x 3 minute shifts
If the spread is 10 or more, the last shift should be RUN time
If the spread returns to single digits at any time in the final shift, stop time will resume.
Shooting fouls result in an automatic 2 points and change of possession. If a player is fouled in the act of shooting and the basket is made, an additional 1 point is awarded to the shooter and possession changes.
In the last 3 minutes of the second half (during stop time) on shooting fouls, the player will shoot the free throws (Does not apply if the spread is 10 or more).
